A novel that probably scared me straight. Definitely not a world I wanted to inhabit but strangely compelling from a lapsed Catholics' perspective. Typical of William S. Burroughs, the highly censured book was ahead of its time, and its place in modern publishing and thinking cannot be understated. I couldn't resist a couple of versions.
